From Kikar Shabbat:

One of the heads of the Kol Torah yeshiva in Jerusalem and author of the book series “Birkat Avraham”, died last night (Sunday to Monday) after contracting the corona virus. He was 90 at the time of his death, leaving a void among many thousands of students. A righteous male for blessing.

A few weeks ago, Rabbi Erlanger was hospitalized in the Corona ward at Shaare Zedek, after contracting the virus, and his condition worsened.

His family and the masses of his admirers and students, held prayers all over the country for the healing of the Rosh Yeshiva. Yesterday evening (Sunday), the family members announced that his condition is defined as very serious , and the family members came to read Psalms at his bedside in the hospital. Later that night, as mentioned, to the chagrin of his family, acquaintances and the masses of his many students – he returned his soul to its creator.

The late Rabbi Erlanger was born in Switzerland to his father, Rabbi Samson Raphael Erlanger, one of the chief rabbis in his area. When he was two years old, in 1904, he immigrated to Israel.
