Hitorerut is working for you! New non-Egged lines!
For some time now, Hitorerut council member Elad Malka has been leading the fight against Egged’s monopoly in Jerusalem through his Facebook group אגד watch, in the Knesset and in the courts.

Due to his hard work, yesterday the Ministry of Transportation announced that it will operate 9 new van service lines in Jerusalem. The lines are as follows:

1. Talpiyot to Ein Karem by way of city center and Shaarei Tzedek and Ein Karem hospitals
2. Gilo to French Hill by way of Talpiyot’s industrial zone, the city center and the old city
3. Har HaTzofim to Ein Karem by way of Cinema City and Kiryat HaMemshala
4. Malha to Shaarei Tzedek
5. Har HaTzofim to Ramot
6. Har Homa to French Hill by way of Talpiyot’s industrial zone
7. Beit Shemesh to the Central Bus Station by way of Ein Karem Medical School and Beit Shemesh Mall
8. Beit Shemesh to the Central Bus Station by way of Hartuv industrial zone
9. Jerusalem to Allenby Bridge by way of Route 90

The routes in Jerusalem were solidified after the Ministry of Transportation left Jerusalem off of a list of cities that would be receiving new lines on Thursday. In light of that, Elad contacted the Director of the Ministry and on Sunday the new lines were announced!

If you support Elad’s achievement let him know in the comments!
